Alot of people are doing budget LS builds these days. I have decided to do a LQ4/LQ9 BUDGETstyle short block for this reason. These have been proven to 500+HP on a stock bottom end.

Sealed Power Dished Hypereutectic Pistons 9.4:1 with 72cc #317 head
