lately I'm finding alot of oil residue on my passenger side control arm and steering linkages, and all over the fuel pump as well. It appears to be coming from a very slow leak where the timing cover and oil pan meet.
I know this is a common area for a leak to develop...the question is how do I fix it? Do I have to pull EVERYTHING off the front of the motor, including the balancer? Do I need to replace the oil pan gasket as well?
If It's gonna be too much trouble I'd rather just pull the whole damn 307 out of the car and haul it to the dump :D
thanks in advance!

Other than dropping the pan to install a new gasket, I have used a 'quick fix'
The spot where the t/c meet the pan doesn't have too much oil pressure if any. with the engine cool, try to clean the area of the leak as best as possible, and then wipe some RTV silicone on the area with your finger. Just apply a thin coating. After it sets, repeat the process a few times.
I don't look the best but it works.
It could also be the problematic hole next to the fuel pump. There are two holes next to the timing chain cover on the passanger side. You should place a SHORT bolts into each hole. They must be SHORT bolts, get them too long and they will damage the fuel pump.

Like EkS said, plus a little dab of Permatex goo on the threads wouldn't hurt.

Check your fuel pump for leakage from the weep hole on the top half of the pump. Usually happens at 3000 rpm and above. Especially if it is an Edelbrock or Holley pump. They make a mess and it's hard to see the leak.

Brian,I thought you were replacing the 307 soon? You had posted several times about your new set up. I have tried to "fix" a t/c leak as posted above with no success. With all your wrenching experience on your suspension, it would take you maybe 2-3hrs. to replace the gasket.
