I know this belongs in heating, but i know not many members go there. Well, i live in Southern Louisiana, and for those of you who haven't been here in summer, it's hot and sticky. it's just started getting warmer, in the high 70's, and i'm worried about my engine heat. I have a stock radiator with dual electric fans, without a shroud, on a temp regulator that automatically switches on either one or both fans, and it has a toggle where i can turn them both on manually. my question is: it has been running around 210 in traffic now, i don't want to know what it runs in July. Is this a normal temp, and if not, what should i try to keep the temps down. thanks.

Don, i had two electrics on mine too w/ four core radiator,Robert Shaw thermostat, the beast would run 240 in the mid day heat and humidity.I switched to a plain jane plastic flex blade on the water pump. Now it won't even get up to 210, and thats after tearing up the neighborhood. Works for me ;)
