I'm looking to buy a crate 350 engine for my '66 chevelle. I'll be in LA,Calif. in Dec 99. I want to know if GM sells the 350/220HP for $1200 and if anybody knows the 800 telephone number for the parts department.

Check around at some of your local GM dealers.They should all carry the stock crate motor.Price around locally,or get the magazine Chevy High Perf. and look for the ads.

Sumeda- Are you moving stateside?
If you have a GM dealer back home they should be able to order your crate motor for you and shipping should be alot cheaper than getting it home from LA.
From what I understand, when you buy from a GM dealer in the contenental 48 states, they will eat the freight.

Give Don a call at the parts department at SALLEE CHEVROLET in Oregon. 1-800-545-0048. They are at or lower than Scoggin-Dickey. We did have to pay freight on our GM Vortec 350/330 HP plus 4L60 Trans. They were "SUPER" in "SERVICE", and meet and/or beat pricing on aftermarket parts.
