They are easy to get.
This one may need a gender change but Radio Shack or others have them.

Amazon.com: Micro Connectors E07-160 16 Inches USB 2.0 To Serial (DB9) Adapter: Electronics

I know that not all USB to serial adapters work. I had a Commander 950 system and I used the Kensington USB to serial adapter at the time, which worked great. Just a heads up...

In all fairness to Holley here... computer technology continues to change and evolve so I doubt you can really say Holley is not considering their customers. That is an older EFI system and when it was designed the 9-pin serial port was still pretty common. Since then the 9-pin serial ports have gone away since most computer users never used them, rather like floppy disk drives.

Exactly Steve.

The Commander 950 came out before there was even such a thing as USB. I want to say it was 1998 when the C950 came out.

The new Holley systems are way more advanced and thus use a native USB interface.

What Steve said. When the 950 was designed it was state of the art. Data coms were handled via serial ports then. Kinda like bitching about a 20 year old TV not being a flat panel.

I brought the system "new" this year not in 1995 , from holley them self .
you can stick up for them if you please . I'm a holley fan my self . the tec team takes a week to get back to you with a simple question that someone frm here gets to you in a couple of hours . like i sed the price was cheaper . i'm happy with what i have just the cable .
