My small-block oil pump has a metal sleeve that holds the distributor drive shaft on the pump. Unlike the plastic kind, this one is stuck like crazy. I can't pull the shaft loose from the pump by hand. Is there a trick or do I just use brute force?

They normally just fall off??
I wouldn't mess with it much, just get a new one with your pump. They are cheap & use the metal one not the plastic one ;)
