im working on a 305 engine from a 1979 malibu with a valve cover that has a hole on one of them and goin to the valve covers with no hole and need info as to how to route the pcv valve because previously the hose was just put in the valve cover with hole and served no purpose. the pcv valve screws behind the carb with the hose connected to it. and im using a breather oil cap thank you.

You could always drill a hole in the new valve covers and then put the pcv in there. My friend did that on his 1990 454SS truck and it worked fine...I dont know of any other ways...Sorry if this didnt help at all

Do this, screw a fitting into the carb or intake where the old PCV fits and attach a hose to it and get the grommet and correct PCV for the 305 and put it in the valve cover. Hope this helps.
