I used the crank savers that came in my kit, but i seem to have nicked my crank very slightly. I rubed the area with light oil and fine emory clothyou can still see the nick but cant feal it...Do i still need to remove it and have it polished or will the slight indention hurt anything? I can barly catch my nail on it, dam this isnt my week.

Well, i did the same thing putting together my engine. I put it in the back of my truck and took it down to the machine shop. He polished it with emory right there in my trust and told me to go on my way. I could still see it also but nothing was raised to interfere with the bearings.

If you are sure it is all low it will not hurt a thing.
Take a rod bearing & rub it across the spot.
If it scratches the bearing it is high, if not you are fine

Think of it as a tiny oil reserve. :D
