My last balance was $200. I would say a range between $175 and $225.

Most shops in this part of Michigan get around $200.00 for balancing. Like anything else, there are a lot of shortcuts a shop could take and some shops may do a very poor job of balancing. Ask around and see who has recommendations for balancing in your area.

While living in Arizona sereral years ago, I sent my rotating assembly to a shop for balancing. When the guy returned the parts to me I found that in balancing one of the pistons, they had drilled a hole clear through the top of the piston. The guy did replace the piston (TRW) after numerous phone calls and name calling, but I missed an important divisional race because of the delay.
