how do you bleed a power steering pump 1972 chevelle i changed the hose an now the pump is making noise i think that theres air in the line thanks phil graemlins/beers.gif

Filled the PS Pump full, ran the engine for awhile, then shut it off. Power steering fluid everywhere thru the vent hole in the cap! graemlins/thumbsup.gif Olle May 2nd, 04, 2:02 PM Jack up the front of the car. Fill the reservoir halfways up and put the cap on, then turn the wheels back and forth. Refill, do it again a couple of times, then fire it up and turn the wheels back and forth a few times. Then fill to the correct level and you're done (this is almost directly out of the directions for the pump I bought a while ago).
