Guys,

I'm doing a daily driver buildup on a 350 for a friend. He has a brand new Elgin 1166 CAM. I'm going to install Speed Pro Hyper flat tops which should give him about 9:1 with his 76cc heads. Is this CAM an OK CAM for this application? I found the .050 and lift specs on the cam but can't find the ICA information or advertised duration to calulate the DCR. What I do know is 216/228 and .453/.480 with 112 LSA.

Any opinions?

Thanks,

Troy.

I'm not finding that number in my '92, California Discount Warehouse cat. so don't know, sorry...

Go to Elgin's site b/c I think they still list all of them if not all wet...

I do know I always have a time getting to it but it IS there!!

Does anybody have it book-marked for him???

Troy,
I can't find that cam listed in the 2002 Elgin catalog. You will probably need to contact them for further information. Phone is 800.323.6764 or check www.elginind.com (http://www.elginind.com)

Never mind - the link only yields marketing fluff. No real info on that site.

Thanks EG - I'll try calling them.
