Axles yes,.Dont know about housings.
Look in chevy high perf.mag. ads. Lots of places sell replacement parts for 12 bolts.
I called several today looking for 3 series carrier posi units.
OK,Igot up and went and got a mag.

axles are yes, but I dont think they make housings (try Currie enterprises)If they dont make them it is due to the popularity (and superiority) of the ford 9-inch. There are close to a dozen if not more aftermarket 9-inch housings.

Strange Engineering and Mark Williams both make drop-out 12 bolt center sections that you can bolt into a 9" f**d housing, but I don't know of anyone making a complete 12 bolt housing. Several companies build 9" housings as a direct bolt in for the chevelle.

Thanks for the response guys. I agree the 9 inch is for sure tougher. Thanks again for the help. Slime

Yes, there is an aftermarket housing. It is made by KTRE...Kenny Thomas Racing Enterprises.

They cast their own center sections and assemble all new housings from scratch.

Slime,

If you mean KTRE, I do not have that info. I remember seeing a write-up in National Dragster, and an ad in the back of one of the large magazines...sorry I couldn't be more help.

BTW, the KTRE housings were not cheap from what I remember.
