not a Chevelle but I'm always looking for COPO option info that can shed some light on the process.
I have seen some on Chevy trucks. The trucks had a great system where they put a nice decal in the glove box showing option number and discription
This is from a special order fire truck
option number 9621C for Hand Throttle Unit (COPO Option)
it shows option number "SPC" for special paint
