I am in the process of building a 427/TH400 for my 66 Chevelle. It is now a 230/PG car. I need to now about frame stands and/or transmission crossmembers. Do I need to change them? Are the frame stands year specific? Anything else I should be aware of? I am planning on larger fuel lines, new radiator, etc.

trans crossmembers are the same, you will need a pair of v8 frame and engine mounts. Since you are starting from scratch you might as well get the correct BB frame stands and mounts, but SB parts will work if you have a line on a set.

I don't really have a line on either. Are they hard to come by? Will other years fit?

66-67 BB mounts would work, they should be available repro, but there is still plenty of original stuff out there.

There are 3 auctions running on ebay for
V8 frame mounts.

Our Sponsor, Ground Up, carries the repros... Looks like $80 for the pair...
