I need to replace the valve seals on my 441X heads and was wondering if seals go on ALL valve stems or just on the intake valves. Is it OK to put the small rubber "O" ring seals on every valve or the umbrella type?
Thanks in advance!

RBOMAR, I don't know if the 441X are BBC or SBC, but om my BBC, I didn;t run seals on the exhaust side. Even though I have new bronze liners, I thought the slight inconvenience of a puff of smoke on start-up was a good tradeoff for better oiling of the exhaust valve guides. I've heard they can sieze in BBC's and I'm using 30 yr old heads!
BTW, I use teflon seals.

I always run the umbrella seals on all the valves and leave off the little O-rings.

I run umbrella and 0-rings for dependability.
