Seun or whoever knows...I have an MS2 for fuel and actually a MSD 6012 for ignition. Did you just run the tach signal out of the 6010/6012 to the white wire (pin 24) in the twisted pair and ignore the black wire? If I could confirm the tach signal coming out of the 6010/6012 was negative like a coil and NOT positive, then Im pretty sure thats the setup, but I cannot find anything on if the tach signal is positive or negative coming out of the MSD box. Maybe tach signals are always negative, not sure.
Thanks for any input!

its been a while,
but the msd has a yellow wire that provides a 12v square wave tach signal.
the msd if I remember correctly, has one input for a square wave tach signal.
connect theyellow tach out on the msd to the tach in on the megasquirt and voila.
Thanks, I figured it was pretty simple but wanted to confirm there wasnt some trick to it. So many wires going in all directions it makes me wonder.

no problem. its one of the main reasons i got away from it is it takes so long to clean up the wiring, but for the price , and the times some guys are running with it, i wont be opposed to running it again on a budget build.
Thanks, that was it, hook the white wire from the twisted pair to the tach wire on the MSD, ignore the black wire in the twisted pair. Got it started a little earlier, pretty easy.

I haven't used the Auto Tune in TunerStudio (yet) , but I have used the VE Analyze feature after datalogging and it works great. Getting the street-driving portion of my VE table dialed in only took about 3 iterations of logging/analyzing, so I'm gonna imagine that the AutoTune feature is pretty spot on. Phil Tobin has written a great piece of software and is very responsive to questions on the Megasquirt forums.
