Hi there guys, just wondering about a 1990 5.7 out of a caprice i have a guy who wants to trade me the whole car for doing a tune up on his truck. I guess it was a cop car rear windows don't roll down and you can't open the doors. Don't know if they put anything special in them or not. Always here guys saying a cop motor or a corvette motor when they brag about there 220 horse 350.just don't want to be one of them guys. Any info would be great and it does run and drive.

1 pc rear main. Maybe a 4 bolt. Grab it... you could sell it easily.

Cop engines are not a great choice unless you rebuild them. They are nothing special but usually spend a lot of time idling and get a lot of sludge and carbon buildup.
