I am sure this gets posted all the time, but here goes...

If you were to do it all over again, what engine / power adder / trans / rear end combo is best for a 72 chevelle for these circumstances...

- want max HP possible from a crate motor
- auto trans (yes the wife wants to drive it)
- power added must be stay under hood, no nitrous. I would imagine somebody makes an under hood blower for a 454 or more?
- daily driver that will see track time

Also, does anyone have any pics of what I would consider a 'touring' Chevelle. That is, one with the newer rims, suspension, etc?

well i got a 72 malibu and im planning to put a 454 in thats bored over .060, and im gonna put a B&M street/strip tranny in, a 12 bold posi rear end, mabey a light(aluminum or carbon fiber if they make it) drive shaft, a wilwood disc brake kit i found, keepin my 2.5 flowmaster exhaust, sum cragers and posibly a fiber glass hood, i have a 2" cowell hood but its non functioning i want the same but in glass that is functioning. this is what im planin to do to my chev, i want mo power to smoke the ricers...burn the azz! graemlins/hurray.gif
