Aluminum slots, wide polyglas tires, and side pipes look AWESOME on those cars!

Way interesting story. Loved the post, and the pictures. Its great the poster took the time to do it for everyone, and the memory of the owner.

It really is a shame how short the original owners life got cut, but it sounds like he lived it to the fullest. RIP Marine.

Wow. Incredible story behind an incredible car. Great to see that disabled Vietnam Vet did not let his injury get in the way living life to the fullest! God Bless him!

Yeah that was a touching story about a fellow Marine, and yes in the pics he sure did seem to enjoy his times in his cars. Hope the new owner enjoys is as much as he did. It sure is a great looking car.

I loved Ansen Sprints back in the day. They seem a little dated now but I always loved them. Whoa, that Corvette looks like a time capsule, and what an example! A Motion car with a drop-in 454 ZLX, that is crazy stuff. They are what, 12.5:1 compression and not intended for the street? 4.88 gearing but a Hone-O-Matic overdrive effectively gives you a 3.42 ratio. I can see how the money was spent in preparing that car.
The original owner looks like he could disassemble, clean & reassemble his guns with his eyes closed. A Marine!
