I'd like to get feedback from any of you guys that have installed the Summit, SSBC or other brand of pumps to increase your engine vacuum and have reliable power brakes.

I converted my 34 to an 8" dual booster and 1" Corvette MC back in the spring, but wasn't happy with pedal fade and effort as vacuum was used up. I went back to a manual setup for the summer. I am getting ready to put the power setup back on and am going to ad a pump this time.

I can get the SSBC deal for around $289, and another from Right Stuff Detailing for $225. They look about the same, Summit's brand may be slightly different, as it seems to operate the booster by itself without additional vac from the engine.

Any feedback on these is appreciated. Especially noise, vibration and effectiveness. thanks.

I dont know about those specifically, but some of the rat rod/hot rod guys use the electric smog pump from something like the 2000's Tahoes. Just one more option for you, sorry I couldn't give any help on what your initial post was.

Matt, I got one from summit, would have to go look to see which one, it is kinds noisy but once engine is running you can't hear it anymore. It is also rubber mounted to cut down on vibration, and it doesn't use any engine vaccume, hose goes from pump to vaccume switch to booster. I have had it on my 70 since about may of this year and it works good.
Hope this helps.
