: Alternator/Charging system probs. JAX SS Apr 22nd, 99, 8:17 AM I have a 66 SS. The alternator is not charging. I have had it check and it is ok. I have changed voltage reg. twice. No luck. The car has factory gauges and the amp gauge isn't working. I have run out of ideas. I'm all ears! Havoc Apr 22nd, 99, 9:16 AM Check for a bad fusible link somewhere in the system. Also check to make sure none of the big red charging wires are melted/cut/disconnected.
