Eric,

Parts for sale ads are not allowed in the tech forums. Please post your ad in the classifieds section. It's free and there's more traffic there than here.

Thanks, Tom

I paid $60 for a set of LS6 pistons that are in good useable condition.
All BBC rods are forged,FYI
Sounds like if you get $50-100 you'll be doing good.
On the SBC stuff,I don't think KB makes forged pistons..they're hypertectic..rods/pistons might be worth $150-200

People pay more money for big block "dot rods". If that's what they are you gotta educate them. Tell them what size bolts they have in them too. You may have just what they're looking for. It's pretty sure that you won't get more money for them than you ask for. Good luck!

I wasnt trying to sell them to anyone on the boards, just wanted to know how much to ask for when I sold them at the flea market last weekend. Sorry for the confusion.

Well I asked $150 for the small block pistons/rods and no one wanted to buy them, I asked $20 for the big block rods/pistons and no one bought them. I also tried to sell my Keystone Klassics out there, a really good set of rims (front 8" rear 10" wide) and i couldnt even get $75 out of the set of 4 with burn-out-quality rubber on the rears. It was just a really crappy day.... I see now that going to the flea market was a bad move, most people dont go out there with more then $50 in their pocket and expect to get a great deal.

At the end of the day I had a Mexican guy come and offer me $30 dollars for my rims, hand polished M/T SBC valve covers ($50 firm was my asking price) and my chrome dip stick for my 350. I said "No" $50 for the rims and you have a deal (was really desperate now....) He then says something in spanish to his kid and his kid starts rolling them away to the back of his truck before he even said yes or no! Then he said "Oh wait the widths arent the same, I cant take these, why are they like this?!" and I said "Well thats common on muscle cars, these did come off my 70' Chevelle." He then said that he couldnt use them because he had a truck and he wanted the same size all the way around. He then said something to his kid and his kid just dropped my rims and left. The nerve of some people graemlins/angry.gif

Anyways it turned out to be a craptastic day. It cost me $30 to get in and I made exactly $30 on the penny....

So thats what happened, Im sticking my stuff in the paper smile.gif
