: Carb spacer with Holly 4150?

I will be getting to the upper engine work momentarily, and I was wondering if I should use a spacer with my combo. My combo is a Holly 4150 750 cfm, Performer air gap intake, with an XE274 cam. The AFR 195s are flowing about 265 cfm. Would I realize any HP gains with a spacer? And if so, what thickness should I use, and 4 hole or open? I think my combo is designed for low end to mid-range torque. As always, TIA. Kevin

If you have room, and you want to experiment a little, the four hole spacer will be better for drivability, and low speed torque. I had to use a spacer with my double pumper because the rear accel. pump would hit the vacuum fitting on my Performer RPM, but it's not the air gap. I tried both types, and they both work well, but the open spacer hurt the bottom end and idle quality a little.

Look on the bright side, things are better now than they will be tomorrow.
