Could a 1970 ss chevelle have this option? My car did not have it but if it was available I want to add it.

The first cruse control was about 4000 years ago, When Mrs. Tut told Mr. Tut while cruseing in the old cheroit. " You slow down you S.O.B. or I'll bounce this urn off your head".
She eventually killed him whe he spent her tomb money on a mached set of Clydsdales. His last words where. "Just feel the torque baby!!"

I feel sure that is was an available option for your car. I know it was available in 67 and I think 66 even.

My '66 shop manual and repro '66 sales brochure list it as an option.

Cruise control was an option in 70, I have it to install on my Monte, but I'm not sure if it was available with the SS option.

Yes cruise was avaiable in 1970 in any V8 models with automatic transmission and power brakes ONLY!!! Not available with any standard transmission!!
