i found a 396 engine for my 69 chevelle but the engine is out of a C20 truck does this sound right.

Could be a 366 Truck motor, you need to post any casting numbers and or stampings in the Tag Team section.

It's possible and maybe it's a 402??

Doubt if it is a tall deck 366 tho..
