Found a 72 Cutlass convertible for sale and the thought crossed my mind to buy it for several reasons, one being I can convert my 69 ragtop to a power top, mine is manual, and if the (chassis) frame will fit that same 69, that would be an added value. Would someone please let me know, it is greatley appreciated.

Here's a great page on parts interchange:

A better resource would be the "hollander" interchange.

They have a web site and you can order one that is specific to the Chevelles for around 30 dollars (including shipping).

I've got mine on order.

both the frame and the power top equipment will work, sounds like a good find!

Convertible frames are fully boxed along the side rails, to strengthen and stiffen the car because of no roof to tie it all together. Conv frames are generally worth 2-3 times the price of a hardtop frame, depending on condition. FYI the SS frame is the same as a standard malibu, so no premium for an SS frame.
