Oil leak around chrome timing gear cover is getting to be a mess. Any tips on replacing while engine still in car ?

Gary, is the leak around the cover, or at the pan corners? Either way, the cover needs to come off. The "correct" way to do this is to loosen the oil pan and drop it an inch or so, then get the cover off. Some guys have had luck trimming the sharp corner off the cover, and working it back in without loosening the pan. Good Luck!
