The oil pump pick up fell off and I was wondering if I just solder it in with regular solder or if I should braze it in? Thank You

I braze mine but make sure you have the pickup the correct distance from the bottom of the pan first. Then you'll have to ake the pump apart remove the spring & flat sand the cover when you're done because they do warp a bit from the heat.
BTW I braze around the whole tube to make sure it won't suck air.

First of all, get a new screen. They are less than $10 and a new one will be a lot tighter fit than the old one. You cannot solder it. It needs to be brazed or TIG welded if you want to weld it. If the new pickup is installed with the proper tool, you really should not have to worry about welding it. There are millions of them running the streets without being welded.
