Dear Team Chevelle members,
I'm involved in a serious drive-train makeover for a GM A-body cousin of the Chevelle (a 1965 Buick Special wagon.) I have just been talked into going with the EZ-EFI system, so now I need to upgrade the fuel system to EFI.
After a lot of running around, I've confirmed that Spectra-Premium's tank for 64-67 El Camino's will fit in any A-body wagon of the period (except 3-bencher's). The model number is GM37EFI and this link hopefully would take you to the product description: http://ecat.spectrapremium.com/apps/ecat/mainfile.php?action=product_spec&module=product_catalog&product_code=GM37EFI&splash=false
I've cruised this forum and others and in general Spectra seems to have a good reputation. I've also found this posting on Team Chevelle about improvements to the EFI setup in these tanks: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=358837. So this seems like a reasonable way to go - right? Since I don't see anything recent on this, I thought I would humbly ask again in case fellows on this forum has put some miles on their car and - learned some things I really want to know about! :clonk:
Anyone have new opinions on the Spectra-Premium tanks for EFI?
Any pearls of wisdom on this would be greatly appreciated indeed!
Thanks for helping a cousin in need! :waving:
Cheers, Edouard :beers:
