Does anyone know if anyone makes the outer rear wheel wells for the 69 convertibles? the parts i have found so far are for the coupes and the convertible needs to have a flat top to the outer section.

no one make the rear outer wheelhouses for 69 vert.you need to take a coupe wheelhouse and cut it down to fit a convertible.

I believe that the inners are the same from 68-72.

What's different between the 70-72 outer wheelhouse, and a 69? I will have to graft on the outer lip either way, but my inner is shot too. If the outer lip, which gives the wheel well opening shape IIRC, is changed over to the 70-72 assembly, would it be the same as the peice I'd love to order, but they will never reproduce until the day I solve the issue on this car? It seems that the OP and I are in the same boat.

i believe the 70-72 inner wheel wells would work for a 68-69 chevelle but i am not a 100% positive on that one.maybe if you post this question in a different section you might a few more experts to chime in.

No 68 -69 quarters share the same out flare of the lip that an Elcamino 68-72 uses. The 70-72 is flush !!!!

so you are saying that the 70-72 repo outer wheels will not work on a 68-69 because the lip is flat not flared.how about the inner ones are they different also?
