here's the deal- 69SS w. stock exhaust system. 2yrs. old and the manifolds and main pipes are rusty. Want to either coat them w. something better than hi-temp gray(Eastwoods coating or something similar) or go to some other type of coating and then use a stainless exhaust system.
I'm open to ideas, opinions, BTDT stories or whatever. TIA for any and all replys. Two truths are known- I despise rust and winter in upstate NY is definitely back this yr.

Think money and stainless steel... I'm sure somebody must make a complete SS setup for your car if you want to pay the price...
As for the cast-iron exhaust manifolds, go ss headers unless you want to plate them.
I personally AM NOT offended by rusty exhaust manifolds b/c it is kind of a fact of life that they are going to turn, then look grungy!!! pdq67

IMO the ultimate deal is Jet Hot coat the manifolds and get stainless exhaust from manifold to tailpipe, you are done forever!!
I run headers but for a street cruiser you are better off with manifolds.

Duke, you can have the whole system JetHot coated, but it might not stand up. Or you can do what us poo' white boys do, get under there with plenty of newspaper, a piece of cardboard and a spray can! Borla makes a SS unit for north of $600 I beleive.
