Beginner questions here. Please forgive me & my inexperience. Firts time car builder. I am looking for a stance similar to a pro-touring car, except it won't be driven like a pro-touring car. Looking to lower it, install 17"-18" wheels, front disc brakes (rear disc brakes at a later time).
What I am working with:
1966 Chevelle Malibu
350 stock (swaping to a 454 at some point in the future)
Stock Suspension/4 wheel power drum brakes
I am wanting to swap to front disc brakes over the winter. I am also wanting to lower the car to get a more aggressive looking stance. If I get a brake kit with 2" drop spindles, should I keep my stock springs or get a set of drop springs as well??
The rear I am going to keep power drum for the time being. I am wanting to drop it as well though. Any suggestions for drop height on a "pro-touring" look?
Thanks for any information/suggestions or replies.
