today at the swap meet i run across a set of dart BB alum heads, but get this... they are SMALL and i mean SMALL ports, about 1/2 of the size they should be and they had std. size small block springs.... and what looked like 196/150 valves (TINY!!) now what in the heck would you run these on??? i could understand if they are made to be ported, but these heads had been run. at $400 it was tempting but man what work it would take to bring them to life..

Sound like peanut port truck heads, but I haven't seen those in aluminum, haven't even heard of that. I don't think the valves are that small on the peanut port heads either. Are you sure those are Chevy heads?

Dart used to offer an aluminum race large oval port head...in the same series as the 320/360 rect port race heads. I don't know if they are still offered new though.

This head from what I understand, was basically the same port dimensions as the factory or Merlin oval ports...around 255-260 cc intake runners.
