Info I have says 64/65 super sports came with buckets only, Vert or hard top.
Bench was standard starting in 66, with strato-buckets optional.

The 64/65 experts will correct me if i'm wrong!!:)

I'm no expert, but I have one with the buckets and I've never seen one with an SS from my year with a bench.

And yup, the 'bucket seats' really hold you in tight during 'spirited cornering'...l:)

ANY SS in 64/65 could have been had with a bench seat on request. Buckets were considered part of the SS package but could have been deleted and replaced with a bench. Of course a bench seat also deletes the console.

I saw a nice 6-cyllinder bench seat column shift 3-speed 1965 Malibu SS that was legit at the 2001 Midwest Chevelle Regional. Cool and interesting car.

Most trim tags will tell you if the interior set up is original/correct for the car. The TRim codes indicate the type of seat and color.
