im going to the junkyard tomarow to pull out a V8
does anyone know a a easyway to decode the displacement of motors?
Im looking for a 350 or 400
or possibly a 427 or 454(heck 396 too)

because most chevy motors share the same dimensions with other motors, the only reliable way to check the displacement is to "run the numbers". The digits should be on the block, immediately in front of the passenger side cylinder head.
