in my 68 chevelle malibu w/ 327 and TH350, i installed a set of hooker ceramic coated Competition Headers. They seem to be very close to the ground. They scrape on big dips in the freeway when the car has a passenger, and don't even get me started on speedbumps  Anyone else have this prob? The suspension is all stock and i'm running a 15x8 cragar on a 235 60 R15.

My left one can high-center the car on a pebble. ;)

I have the hooker comps on my 72 chevelle with a 350 and th350. I can't recall ever hearing them scrape but looking under at them they do have a few scratches and scrapes on them.

I dropped it 2 in the front, and am running kybs, 235.60r15's up front and 275.60R15's in the back. After the suspension and tires, I actually gained a small amount of clearance, even with the drop spindles. Havn't scraped yet, but I attribute that partially to how beat up that drivers side header already is.

Hooker comps are the low point on my 70 MC, a good reason for taller tires. They went in very easily...didn't have to do all the stuff the instructions said, but it would be nice if they didn't hang so low.

I to have noticed a slight gain in how close my headers are to the ground and any scrapeing sounds since I rebuilt my suspension and changed my tire size before I had the nearly all original suspension except shocks and 235/60 tires now I have all new bushings and springs/monroe shocks and 215/70 tires on the front and 275/60 tires on the rear, I have yet to hear any scrapes. I can just imagine how much fun I will have when I install hooker super comp long tube headers on my 2002 camaro SS this thing is real low to the ground.

70mousejob, So there is another Brandon on here. ;)
