: Lokar throttle to a Q-jet

I just bought a Lokar throttle and went to hook it up to my Q-jet carb. The end of the throttle has a bolt and nut set up and the carb has a fitting that looks like the cable is just supposed to clip to. How do you hook it up? I thought about removing the bolt set up from the cable and just clamping an O-ring on the end to fit over the fitting. Any suggestions?

I got a stainless steel throttle cable similar to Lokar's. It comes with the ballstud and everything. It's best to use what they give you. I did my transmission's throttle valve cable (Lokar) my way (semi-custom) because I was using the OEM throttle cable at the time. Now I wish I'd bought the throttle and transmission cables at the same time and just used Lokar's brackets and followed their instructions.

I have no problem making it work, but it's much simpler if you just do it their way.
