Is it possible or feasable to convert a two bolt block to a four bolt?

yeah...

get the 4 bolt caps
drill it
then bring it to a machine shop to have them do their magic

2 bolts are strong enough though?

You can install some ARP main studs to strenghten the the 2 bolt main setup at a low cost if your worried.

2 bolt mains can supprot a lot of HP so if your building a fairly mild to fairly hot street car you will be fine with 2 bolt mains and studs for insurance unless your building an 8 second ride, thats a different story.

What Scott said. My 440 is based on a '73 2 bolt with ARP main studs. Mild though, around 490 hp and 7000 rpms. Used to see 7400 regularly. No problems. I wouldn't waste the $$ unless you are shooting for over 600 hp or a power adder. Have the machine shop install them and check the straightness of the saddles. You might need to hone them to make them perfect, or not.

Thanks for the advice, sounds like the studs are the way to go.

As said above, studs on a two bolt block will handle a lot. Big blocks have much beefier mains than smallblocks, so the two bolt blocks are not an issue. Many a "super" class racer use two bolt big blocks. I have a studded two bolt block in my '65, my engine dyno pull hit 640 hp - and I wouldn't be afraid to pop a small hit of nitrous on top of that.
