What is the cut-off point beyond which you will need to run a long slot rocker?
I've got a Dorman harmonic balancer. Are they okay? It's going to be seeing 5,000+ on a pretty consistant basis. I like genuine GM, but you can't always get it.

Unc,
Over .500" lift, you will need long-slot rocker arms. Don't know anything about Dorman dampners, have never used one.

get a frank lupo convertor, his father was the owner of fairbanks trannies eon's ago. thats what i run all hand welded, anti ballon palted etc. 5 yr gaurantee, 1 yr no questions asked, 1 free stall speed change. mine is a 9" convertor.
tell him whatcha got and what you want to do and he will fix you right up. they cosy a little more but you can waste money on a b&m or get a convertor that will hold up.my big block sees 7 grand occasionally and it keeps on rock'n.
