I hadn't really thought of this until I got the new GU catalog. My 67 was originally a 396. I am installing a sb, albeit a 427 sb, but a sb nonetheless. Do I need to change the frame mounts to the small block mounts? When I first dropped the engine in using red poly mounts, everything fit fine. Had to do a custom crossmember for the 700r4 - the one Bowtie shipped did not fit and now I'm wondering if the sb vs. bb mounts could have been the problem. Anyway, want to get it right once and for all. comments appreciated.

Frame mounts on the '67s are the same dimensionally for both BB and SB. The BB mounts are just re-enforced on the underside.
