I want to drop in the motor and 4speed together into my 68. is there any special ways to do this? are there any parts that i should leave off?

Leave the tranny linkage off, plus the starter. As the engine gets lowered in, but not all the way in, put the headers in their location. I usually tie small ropes to the headers and hood hinges to keep them close to where I want them to be. Then just take your time and drop the engine in all the way. If you have a Tilt engine sling, it makes the drop a lot easier. I also put a towel over the top of the tranny and bellhousing, just in case the two touch the car.
Make sure that your Engine mounts fit over the chassis mounts before hand.

Good luck,
Fred.

Not that you can't get them anywhere, but (after seeing you are in Canada) I just bought an engine leveler from Princess Auto (I think it was about $45) and it worked great (I found it much better then the plate on the carb method and faaaaaaar better then the single chain diagonally across the engine) for installing the 350/M20 together several times this winter. Just a crank on a bolt on the leveler and the load tilts so you can drop it in semi vertically and then tilt it so it levels off as you clear the body. And I second the suggestion of putting the headers (at least the driver's side) in place prior to dropping the engine in.
