I have a problem with my car stalling out or
nose diving in second gear when I get on it pretty hard.

It has a 396 with a bigger cam, 4 speed Muncie,
new fuel pump. (135 gph) and a brand new Edelbrock
Q-JET carb.

Does anyone have any clues?

What is your actual fuel pressure when this happens?

I don't know what the fuel pressure is when it happens,
I don't have a guage.
I have since found out that my distributor advance
weights and spring are in bad shape and I have new ones ordered.
It should have two plastic bushings on the posts that hold the weights in place, mine only had one which was half gone causing it to loose.
If this cures my problem, I will post it here for others.
