I dropped in a 454, into my 70 project car ,
i need to breakin the cam and springs,now i also
bolted on the tran /stall ,the drive shaft is not
connected. and i'm waiting on the trans cooler line to come in ,so they are not connected to the rad. the trans is full (pan/stall).here my ? can i run the motor with out hurting the trans or the stall.I got the breaking in the cam and spring
part down ,thats clear

Without the driveline in you will lose a lot of fluid. Also the cooler lines would need to be plugged. Personally I wouldn't start it without the cooler hooked up.

Can you unbolt the converter and push it all the way back into the trans for breakin? As long as the converter doesn't work its way forward and rub on the crank.
