I haven't played with the ignition since last year, and I don't have time to think about which way to turn the distributor to retard the timing. Looking at it from the top, is it counterclockwise or clockwise?
Emissions test tomorrow, I need to reduce idle HCs. Last year, I went from 18 to 8 intial and it worked great. I think I see a mark on the distributor shaft flange in the counterclockwise direction, about 3/8" around the flange from where it is now. Does that sound like where it might be and where I potentially marked it? I think my timing light is muffed, it would be nice to twist the distributor and go.
Sorry for the dumb question. The car only got 500 miles last year, I just don't have time.
