Well if it's an itty bitty motor I just pick it up by the shaft or the wire leads. smile.gif

The holes in the heads are OK as long as you get a bolt screwed in far enough.

I usually use a plate bolted to the intake if the carburetter is off otherwise I might use the lifting brackets that came on it from the factory
or just connect a chain diagonally across from the holes in the head you mentioned to an exhaust manifold bolt hole.

why do you have a link in your signature that takes me to a message "move along now... nothing to see here "

ah alright... the reason i was asking was because i tried lifting the motor up on the back of the head holes and the bolt popped out and stripped some threads (while engine is in mid air!)... so i asked if anyone have any problem with that... and then i realized i didnt screw the bolt in enough! graemlins/clonk.gif

the link used to be a page where i used to keep journals about me and my car... but then i got tired and sick of it so i just gave up on it...
