How about a sub-forum for oil-related topics? Zinc additives, etc? My preference would be strictly engine oil, but failing that maybe a "Fluids" forum? Oil, ATF, PS, Brake, Anti-freeze, gear grease, etc?

If not that, how about a CHEMICALS sub-forum--oil, ATF, brake fluid, sealers, penetrants, waxes, detergents, polishes, greases, bug-and-tar removers. Any automotive chemicals.

Sounds like a good idea, especially since its gotten so much traffic on here and the info is very good.

I think it is a good idea. We have a few members that seem to be well informed on this topic and sharing their knowledge would be beneficial. My belief is that very few of us actually know very much about these fluids , so we are at the mercy of guesswork and dumb luck when trying to choose the proper fluid.

I also think that would be useful to have here.

But i think it is not necessary to create a sub forum for oil related threads.. seriously guys no one gonna pay attention only on single topic .... I guess two or three threads would be enough for this category ! I have seen many forums where a single topic has been left without a views and replies on it and i don't want to repeat the same here ! (its just a advice according to my knowledge )
