I was coming home from a car show then the car , just like started to stumble alot to the point of almost dying upon acceleration while at hi-speed . But , driving it around town it's fine as it can be. And at a total lose , it has me baffled . Checked for vacuum leaks found one but that didn't cure it but only got it to run smoother at idle .. this car is totally stock 307V-8 w/350turbo and a 3.08 lim-posi- rear ....

Sounds like a weak fuel pump. The engine is using more than it can supply. A quick pressure check should comfirm this. 4 - 7 psi with no oscillation of the needle in the pressure gage, and it should hold this pressure for about 20 to 30 seconds after you stop the engine.

http://www.chevelles.com/forum/redface.gif , Thanks for the reply , Randy , it does make sense . Since the engine was rebuilt back in 1990 and has only , 30k miles on the
engine. It can be just getting weak, because after you let up on the pedal, during the stumble point to dying , it sorta regains itself . And then will continue on as long as you don't get on it ...I will try that thought...
