Nice, but needs more cold start-up tuning ;-)

Very nice. Is that a 2000 cfm throttle body?

Suggestions on where to start? Noob here. Was going to try to find a base number and change the entire VE table until it warms up.

nope only 1350cfm..

Don't change the VE table UNTIL it warms up, unless the car won't run, then you have to. Likely you have to richen it up.

It is lean right now, as well as may not have enough air at idle. Likely just lean.

Get it warm, adjust the VE. On next cold start THEN adjust coolant/afterstart enrichment.

I have the blades cracked @ 4% right now but the IAC sounds like Hoover vacuum. It eventually cuts out after it gets warm for a bit.

I enriched it @ 3% at that temp and that seemed to help smooth it out(not in this video)

Thanks Doug... I'll give that a try. Hoping to get it to idle better this weekend.

"IT'S ALIVE!"

You actually got that thing to run finally. I was wondering the other day if you ever got back to it or if it was just going to be another forgotten pile of parts in the garage.

You need to buy a book to walk you through the tuning process. You understand working with computers: if you approach it methodically and climb the stairs it is not too hard. But if you just start doing random stuff things will happen and you will have NO idea why. Just like S/W testing :D

Yep, hard to believe eh. I think the ECU was the main problem with all the noise. It's all connected the same way, except it works now. Process of elimination, doesn't help when you send parts in for repair and they send both back not working. :)

It's ok to be jealous. ;) Runs a bit better now...

How big is the cam ?It idles good.
I have a 540 xfi too. I'm learning on the fly tuning, and you only get so much from a video.

Having said that, it sounds like you need to increase the fuel table AE Fuel vs TPS Rate of Change. This acts like you accelerator pump in a carb. Makes it rev quicker when it's set right.
Also throttle follower setting in idle section needs to come down some. This is the high idle after realeasing the throttle.
Again only trying to help.

Hi Jason. Can you check your coil connection ? It appears that MAYBE the + and - are reversed. It may just be the picture???? Orange from the MSD is +

Hyd Roller Cam is .670 in .640 251/253 306/310 110/104

Agreed, the video they give you is a crash course.
Yep, I still have lots of tuning to do. Thanks for that tidbit though. The first video I had the timing locked out so it didn't rev very well.

Cool thanks for the info, i'll check the throttle follower. I'd be interested in seeing your tune file as well.
