92' Corolla guys! It's my buddy's we put in a new radiator because the old one wasnt holding up. There is a fan in the front and the rear and niether of them turn. I'd assume they turn at all times right? Or just when hot?
Why is it that these topics are started? Why don't we just open a Toyota section. graemlins/angry.gif

pu, (Name ????????)
The fans only come on when the temperature gets to a certain level, usually in the 230 - 240 deg range on most newer cars. A service manual will give you the exact temp.

TYPICALLY speaking if the car has AC, you should be able to turn it on "MAX" or "RECIRC" whatever the highest setting is and it should kick the fans on. It tells the car that there is extra load on the system and the extra airflow is needed. If you could find the temp sensor that kicks the fan on and ground it, that should turn the fans on too.
Not all cars are wired the same so these may or may not work so a repair manual is your friend here.

When I changed the radiator in my '93 Camry, I just drove it in the neighborhood for about 20 minutes. Unless it's really cold out, that ought to make the fans come on. My radiator rusted out and started leaking in several places. I was surprised to see how flimsy Toyota makes their radiators.

WELL 70SS.... because ive got good people on here to help with problems, sorry to wreck your day. Maybe you shouldnt come into the post then ;) Thanks guys, I told my buddy. I kind of figured that about the temp. I was hoping atleast! We got his little economy ride back up to temp and running like new.
