Does it really matter which way you put ignition wires on. I mean which ends goes onto the plug or onto the distributor post? Supposedly mine are on backwards, but i'm not sure they will fit on the distributor the other way. At least not with a bit of pushing and bending of the boots.

Thanks

- Ben

HEI ignition if it matters.

Well, usually the spark-plug end the the thicker boot, since it has to deal with the heat. Also, the hole in the boot on the plug end is usually smaller, I believe.

Not sure. The wires I have, on the boots that go to the distributor, say 'DIST' on them. Must be for a reason.

Heat is the reason.

Well they seem to be ok the way they are. I can't imagine they would work any differently the other way or "right way" around. I mean as far as transferring electricity. But then again, that's what i'm asking, i'm just not sure.

Point taken. I'm going to leave them. If it becomes a problem hopefully it will be in the hands of the person who buys it. ha haaa Stupid car.
